Quick way to Install WordPress on Localhost (XAMPP) server by Step IADM student

If you want to install WordPress on local host by using XAMPP then you

are on a right place this article helps you to install WordPress step by step. For installing WordPress on local host you need a server which is called XAMPP.

What Is WordPress?WordPress is a open source CMS (CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)It allows you to create and manage your own website. Those peopleswho have no coding experience and interesting in to create her ownwebsite then WordPress is a best way to create her own website.This software is free anyone can install it easily.                       To install WordPress on local host you need to install a server which is called XAMPP.

After downloading XAMPP you need to install it on your system. Forworking on WordPress. You need Apache and MySQL. You need to start it.

Apache and MySQL database server are running so, it means our localhost is ready now.  Now it’s time to download and extract WordPress. Fodownloading WordPress you need to go on a website which is calledWordPress.org/download. Scroll down the page and click on the downloadbutton as shown in image below.

 After downloading WordPress Now extract the file on htdocs.

Now RENAME the WordPress folder and give it your favourite name asshown in the image below.

Our WordPressis now stored on local server XAMPP. Before installing weneed a database so we create it.For creating database we go on a new tab and write localhost/phpmyadmiAfter open phpmyadmin we create a database on clicking new. Write the name of your database and click on create then it will be created as shown in the image below

After creating database name we go on wordpress setup and click onLET’S GO as shown in the image below.

NOW:

  •  Click on lets go

  •  Enter database name which you want to use and show on

  • WordPress

  •  Database name:- it depends on you

  • Host name:- localhost

  •  Username:- Root

  •  Password:- nothing (leave the password section blank)

 
After entering the submit button Click on run installation as shownin the image below.

After clicking on run installation you are enter on your website now edit your website details hereSubtitle, username, password, and email addressClick on install WordPress. It is the very important part for installing WordPress

Remember your email and password. You need to log in your website. Enter your login details carefully and then click on login
 if you want to go on the backend of your website then type
localhost/nameyouwrite/wp-admin Now it will take you on the dashboard of the WordPress
As shown in the image below. And for going on the frontend type localhost/nameyouwrite.

Congratulation we successfully install WordPress on local host XAMPP.
